Because the body can only truly rest when it feels safe.

Rest is not separate from inner peace.

It is how inner peace is felt in the body.

Even when there is time to rest, your body may still feel alert.

Tension can linger in your shoulders, jaw, chest or stomach, while your mind continues scanning for what still needs to be done.

This is not because something is wrong with you.

Your body has simply learned to hold a lot for a long time.

These sessions offer a calm, gently held space where your body can begin to feel safe enough to settle.

As your system begins to soften, rest becomes something you can feel — rather than something you have to reach for.

This work is grounded in lived experience, and informed by somatic practice and yogic understanding.

 

You are met with care, warmth, and attunement — always at your pace.

As your body begins to feel safe enough to be met in this way, what has been held can slowly begin to soften.

From here, a deeper sense of support can emerge — making it possible to be with what once felt overwhelming.

What happens in a session


Each session is a space of deep listening — to your body, your breath, and your immediate experience.


You are gently guided to notice what is present, through sensation, breath, and awareness.

Together we begin noticing the ways the body has learned to hold, protect, or disconnect through tension, breath, emotion, and long-held patterns within the nervous system.

There is no pressure to analyse or fix anything.

Instead you are supported to be with what is here. In a way that feels steady, safe, and manageable.

You may begin to notice:

🍃what is asking for attention beneath the surface 

And as this unfolds, something begins to shift.

What has been held can begin to soften.

What  once felt overwhelming can begin to feel more spacious.

Sessions are held online via Zoom in a calm, private space where you are welcome to join exactly as you are.

From the body, to the breath, to emotion, to the quieter patterns of the mind, and into a deeper sense of awareness and inner grounding.

This is not something you have to learn or figure out.

Each layer is felt — not taught.

You are not being guided toward something new.

You are being supported to return to what is already here.

🌿About Heena


My work is grounded in lived experience, alongside long-term somatic and contemplative practice.
 


Living with a kidney transplant for nearly thirty years while raising two children required me to come into a different relationship with my body — one based on deep listening, awareness, and feeling.

Over time, I came to understand that what we carry from the past is often held silently within the body through tension, emotional holding, and protective nervous-system patterns — sometimes experienced as overwhelm, unworthiness, exhaustion, or disconnection.

These patterns cannot be resolved through thinking alone.

They are met through awareness, feeling, embodiment, and direct experience.

Beneath constant thinking, the body holds a deeper intelligence.

This understanding now forms the foundation of my work with mothers.

Through embodied rest, awareness, breath, and nervous-system support, I gently guide mothers back into relationship with their body — allowing space for greater softness, connection, regulation and inner support over time.

My work is also informed by training in trauma-aware enquiry and somatic practice, including Compassionate Enquiry, and IRest Yoga Nidra, Diamond Enquiry through the Ridhwan School and meditation teacher training with the British School of Meditation.
