EMBODIED REST FOR MOTHERS
Guided by The Seven Layers of Inner Peace™
Helping overwhelmed mothers feel safe enough to truly rest in their bodies, their hearts, and their everyday lives.
For the mother who feels she is carrying too much — holding everything together — yet still unable to switch off, even when there is finally time to rest.
Because when the body doesn't feel safe, it cannot fully rest
Book A Gentle Exploration CallYou may already know this feeling— of being tired in a way that rest doesn’t seem to touch.
Embodied Rest begins here.
What is Embodied Rest?
Embodied Rest offers a gentle, trauma-aware path of slowly returning to the body – where support, safety, and a deeper sense of rest can begin to be felt again.
Through private sessions and ongoing support, you are guided through The Seven Layers of Inner Peace™ — a structured somatic process that supports the softening of tension patterns, the settling of the nervous system, and the restoration of energy and clarity.
A gentle, ongoing place to restore yourself from the inside out, so you can care for your family without continually running on empty.
When we begin to gently inhabit our bodies, we stop abandoning ourselves.
We become more present - More responsive - More connected - More rested.
And that steadiness becomes the safe ground our children grow from.
Book A Call🌿If this feels familiar
You are exhausted, but your body will not settle.
Your shoulders, jaw, or stomach remain tight even when you lie down to rest.
Your mind keeps scanning for what still needs doing.
You feel tense, flat, or emotionally worn out.
Rest feels distant, unfamiliar — or somehow undeserved.
There is nothing broken in you.
Your body has learned to stay alert for a long time.
And when the body has'nt felt safe enough to rest, it continues to hold — even in stillness.

🌿A gentle place to begin
If something in this has resonated, you don’t have to do anything more right now.
There is nothing to figure out. Nothing to push through.
Just a small place to begin.
A moment to pause, without needing anything more from yourself.
A short, guided meditation to help your body soften, settle, and feel supported — in a way that is steady, simple, and safe.

Many mothers have never been supported to feel safe enough in their own bodies
Over time, the body learns to stay alert, carry tension, and keep going without pause.
Through steady guidance, you begin to feel your body, breath, sensation, emotion, and long-held patterns of tension— as lived experience, rather than something to analyse or fix.
This is a process of embodied inquiry — learning how to include the body, the heart, the gut, and the mind, so you can begin to understand your body's language more deeply.
This is not about changing who you are, but about coming back into a deeper support that is already within you.
As you begin to settle more gently into your body, you come closer to this support — a grounded awareness where there is more space to feel, respond, and rest.
From this place, it becomes possible to be with what once felt overwhelming or difficult to face.
The tension patterns held through the body — often shaped through past experience — begin to soften and unwind.
As they do, there is more space for presence, for aliveness, and for a different way of being with yourself.
And within that, a quiet sense of peace and stillness begins to emerge.
Over time, this way of relating extends beyond you — into your relationships, your family, and your wider world.
Here, the body begins to feel like home.
🌿How overwhelm takes hold in the body
Motherhood asks us to hold many things at once — practical responsibility, emotional presence, care for others, and often our own experiences that were never fully supported.
Over time, the body learns to carry this.
Through tension.
Through restricted breath.
Through a constant sense of needing to stay “on.”
These patterns are shaped by implicit memory — expressed through sensation, constriction and habitual patterns of tension.
They form as the body adapts to what has not yet been fully processed.
They are not just mental —they are experienced through the nervous system, the muscles, and the breath.
When this becomes the body’s baseline, it can feel difficult to fully settle.
Even when there is time.
Embodied Rest does not begin by forcing relaxation.
It begins by gently supporting the body to soften, at its own pace.
And as the body begins to recognise safety, the nervous system can settle — and rest becomes something that can be felt, rather than something you have to reach for.
The Seven Layers of Inner Peace™
Body – Breath – Emotion – Belief – Joy – Awareness – Peace
A gentle, embodied framework — informed by somatic practice and yogic understanding, moving through your lived experience layer by layer.
From the physical sensations of the body to the deeper patterns that shape how you feel and respond.
A gradual turning inward — from thinking into direct experience within the body.
Not something to work out — but something to be with.
As you move through the layers, the body and nervous system are gently supported to settle – allowing rest, presence, and a deeper sense of connection to begin to emerge.
As tension patterns soften, you begin to come home to yourself.
Here, life is gently held, just as it is.

🌿How this work supports you in daily life
Mothers spend much of their day giving attention, energy, emotional presence, and practical care. By evening, many feel depleted, yet unable to truly replenish.
Embodied Rest offers a way to restore yourself from within, rather than continuing to push through exhaustion.
As your body begins to feel safer and more settled, changes often begin to unfold naturally in daily life.
You may begin to notice:
• less reactivity, with. more space in how you respond.
• a quieter mind, with less urgency
• moments of ease in places that once felt tense
• the gradual unwinding of tension in the body
• a growing ability to rest — not just when you stop, but within yourself
• more energy available for your day-to-day life
• the ability to use your breath as a simple support for calming and settling
• greater kindness and compassion towards yourself
• a deeper connection to who you are
• moments of warmth, gratitude, and quiet aliveness
• rest becoming something that can be integrated into everyday life
Book A Call🌿Why embodied rest matters for families
Children feel what we feel — often before we say a word.
As a mother begins to feel more settled within herself, the atmosphere around her begins to soften.
There is more space to pause, rather than react.
More ease in moments that once felt overwhelming.
More availability for connection, even in the midst of everyday life.
Over time, this changes how we relate — to ourselves, and to those around us.
Repair becomes easier.
Connection becomes more natural.
The home begins to feel calmer.
Your steadiness becomes the ground of safety your children grow from.
And embodied rest becomes a quiet gift that moves through families

Reflections from mothers
🌿About Heena
My work grew from lived necessity. After early trauma, illness, and a kidney transplant, my body could no longer sustain constant effort and vigilance.
Over time, through motherhood, somatic practice, and lived experience, I learned how to feel safely within my own body rather than overriding it.
Nearly thirty years on, my transplant continues to function in remarkable health, reflecting the deeper regulation that became possible within my system.
Through this, I came to understand that beneath constant thinking, the body holds a deeper intelligence.
Often, the body carries long-held patterns shaped through past experience — at times felt as shame, abandonment, or unworthiness – expressed through tension, sensation, and protective responses within the system.
I now support mothers who feel tired of carrying everything alone.
In our work together, I gently guide you back into your body — to feel and understand its language through sensation, breath, and direct experience.
As this unfolds, tension softens, the nervous system settles, and a more grounded, connected way of being with greater energy and capacity for rest begins to emerge.
My work is grounded in lived experience, alongside years of exploring somatic and body-based approaches to healing and regulation.
I have also trained in trauma-aware enquiry and somatic practice, including Compassionate Enquiry with Dr. Gabor Mate, and iRest Yoga Nidra with Dr. Richard Miller.
My learning has also been shaped through the Ridhwan School, where I practised Diamond Enquiry under the guidance of A.H. Almaas, alongside training with the British School of Meditation.

To reconnect with yourself.
There is nothing to prepare.
